The Sandy Creek/Lacona Community Cupboard is located in the building behind the Friendship Thrift Shoppe on Main Street, Sandy Creek. The Pantry is open daily from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. If no one is in the Pantry building, consumers can go into the Friendship Shop and ask for assistance. The Pantry is a Client's Choice Pantry which means that consumers will pick and choose their own grocery items. Consumers are asked to not come more than once in a 30 day period. Residents of the Sandy Creek Central School District are eligible to come. Consumers outside of the school district boundaries, MAY be able to receive food on a one time basis. The phone number for the pantry is 315-387-5323. The Pantry also processes food stamp applications for anyone living in Oswego County. These are filed electronically. Once a month the Pantry holds a Fresh Food Distribution at the Sandy Creek United Methodist Church. Dates for 2013 for these distributions are:
